Introducing something new from Liongate Farm — our Hand-Dyed, Hand-Carded Bluefaced Leicester Mini Batts!
From our sheep to your felting needle, this wool is 100% grown and processed right here at Liongate Farm. We raise the sheep, work with the fleece, dye the wool, and hand card each mini batt ourselves.
This particular batch is Stems Blend, a gorgeous garden-inspired mixture of soft leafy, mossy and earthy greens with little pops and variations of color throughout. Because the colors are hand dyed and then blended during carding, every mini batt has its own unique character.
And this wool needle felts like a DREAM!
Soft, lofty, and easy to work with, these mini batts are wonderful for needle felting, dimensional wool sculpture, landscapes, woodland projects, blending, surface embellishment, and anywhere you want beautiful color with a little texture and personality.
A Little Bit Wild — Just Like the Farm
I don't card the life out of these batts! You'll find wonderful little surprises throughout, including nepps, bits of locks, curls, color variations and texture.
And because this wool truly comes straight from our farm, you might even find a tiny piece or two of Liongate Farm pasture tucked in there. Consider it proof that your wool really did start out on a sheep grazing right here at the farm!
These aren't commercially processed, perfectly uniform batts—and they're not supposed to be. They're small-batch, farm-grown, hand-dyed and hand-carded wool, full of the character that makes working with natural fiber so much fun.

Stems Blend is a limited dye batch. My hand-dyed colors aren't created from a commercial color formula, so once this batch is gone, this exact blend may never happen again.
