This is a great dark core wool for your felting product. I was given a bunch (like a pickup load) of wool from some local to me sheep. I had it processed into roving. It does contain vegetable matter.  Felts like a dream.  It is spinnable if you do not mind picking out random vm.  its a natural black which of course means it is brown and heathered with white fibers. short stapled whch makes it great for felting tightly.
